Description:
Democracy for the Hudson-Mohawk Region is a grassroots group located in the Capital District of upstate New York. We are inspired by the Democracy for America PAC, and the 2004 Presidential Campaign of Howard Dean, new Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. We work in conjunction with other DFA inspired groups across New York State as a participating member of Democracy for New York.
Our two main goals are:
GOAL 1: "DFHMR is a vehicle that enables and encourages ordinary citizens to become involved in every aspect and every level of the political process."
GOAL 2: "DFHMR is dedicated to advancing socially progressive, fiscally responsible politics at every level of government through issue advocacy as well as candidate recruitment and support."
